My family and I have used the services of The Dawes Brothers Hereford twice in the past 18 months for the sad passing of our father in October 2024 and now in April 2026 for our beloved mum.
Each occasion the funerals could not have been more different from each other as we were following the individual wishes of both our parents and yet the service we received for both were exceptional.
They are highly professional, respectful, and they supported us to feel comfortable valued included in all the planning and preparations of both funerals. They considered all our wishes and those of our late departed parents and as a result we were able to give them both the perfect farewell and the service was tailored to each of them individually. We had many guests remark on how beautiful the services were and so fitting for them, especially for our Mother who had a wonderful natural woodland burial at Humber Woodland. They took care of everything for us with such ease and grace and made such a sad time for us, all the better as it could not have gone more perfectly. Thank you Laura, Becky and all the team at Dawes Brothers and also to our wonderful celebrant Mark for leading the services too, between you all, you made everything go so smoothly for us thank you for working so well with us to make our parents proud on their special celebration of their life. All staff looked after my late mum with compassion and dignity as they have with all our family members in the past. I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Thank you all

Dawe Brothers let me down badly. I wasn't informed for 8 days that I could visit my husband. They didn't document that I had taken clothes and a week later asked me to take them in. A visit to see my husband in the chapel had been made but again nothing written down about the booking.
My husbands surname spelt incorrectly on the coffin lid name plate. Poor communication and documentation and lack of information

I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the care and compassion you showed in looking after Mum. During such a difficult time for our family, your professionalism, kindness and quiet reassurance meant so much

Everything was handled with such dignity and respect, and it gave us great comfort knowing Mum was in such caring hands. The service was beautiful, and we are truly grateful for all the guidance and support you gave us throughout.

I can't fault Michelle at Dawe Brothers. She took great care of me when organising my husband Charlies funeral. I had help with everything from ideas for which celebrant to use, flowers and coffin choice and even where I could hold a small wake afterwards. She showed great care and attention all along the way and regular check-ins without being over-bearing, which is exactly what was needed during this difficult time.
The team on the day did everything perfectly and made sure it all ran smoothly and we were well looked after.
