We were looked after by Laura, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a kinder or more compassionate person to guide us through something so heartbreaking. She went above and beyond for my beautiful girl, treating her with the utmost respect and care. Laura made an unbearable time feel a little less heavy, and I will always be grateful for everything she did for us as a family. I can’t thank her enough.

All the staff involved with my mums funeral were respectful, they made sure as a family that we was looked after on the day, we was not rushed and were asked if we was happy with everything on the day. I can’t thank you enough for the amount of respect and understanding/patience you had. You are all a credit to your company.

There are simply no words powerful enough to describe the gratitude, love, and respect I feel for the funeral directors and especially for Laura Gillespie, who organised everything with such tenderness, devotion, and extraordinary care. In the darkest and most heartbreaking moment of my life, they became our strength, our comfort, and our guiding light. To us, Laura Gillespie was truly my son’s last angel on earth.

Laura went far beyond her duty in every possible way. For 14 precious days, every single day, they allowed me to spend time with my beloved son Nikolay, to sit with him, speak to him, and play music for him. Those moments were priceless, and I will carry them in my heart forever. The compassion and understanding shown during this time is something I will never forget.

They arranged a beautiful and deeply respectful Orthodox Church funeral and the Crematorium with absolute perfection. Every detail was handled with dignity and love. Our precious Nikolay loved red roses, and this was honoured so beautifully — everyone from the funeral directors wore a red rose, standing in unity and respect for our son. When we said our final goodbye at the crematorium, each person gently removed their red rose and placed it on his coffin as last honours. It was an incredibly emotional moment, overflowing with love, respect, and deep reverence for our son.

After the church service, they even managed to take the coffin back into the agency so I could have one final moment with him — my last hug and kisses. From there, they walked with him all the way to the crematorium, accompanying him on his final journey, even under the pouring rain. The sight of them honouring him in this way was both heartbreaking and incredibly beautiful.

This was not just professionalism — it was humanity, compassion, and genuine love. Laura Gillespie and the entire team did not simply arrange a funeral; they honoured Nikolay’s life, his spirit, and his beautiful soul with grace, dignity, and unimaginable care.

Thank you will never be enough for what you did for our beloved son and for our family. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and Nikolay will always be remembered with the respect and love you showed him.

Dawe Brothers kindly took care of Mum when she passed away in October 2025. I found them extremely helpful, sincere and caring. As an ex-soldier I can say that the team they deployed to support Mum’s burial at Humber Woodland of Remembrance did themselves and Mum proud. Their turnout, bearing and dignified demeanour was spot on. Well done and many thanks.

What can I say? As always, a very professional, kind, caring and efficient service from Dawe Brothers who always seem to know what you need before you do yourself. No request is too small or too large and the recent funeral arranged by them was no small task. Despite the day being traumatic, the results of Dawe Brothers' efforts left me with a feeling of pride and peace that my husband had the perfect send-off. Special thanks to Julie and Laura who were truly wonderful in very difficult circumstances. I was very impressed with the attention to detail. I would like to thank everyone at Dawe Brothers for the outstanding service we received for my Father's funeral. Daniel was very helpful and patient on our initial call.
Becci was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating, arranging everything for us. All our requests were carried out to the letter and we couldn't have asked for a smoother experience at a very difficult and confusing time.
Every detail was perfect. Order of service, flowers, scatter tube and the gentlemen paging and driving the hearse on the day were professional and kind. The funeral service was exactly how we had planned it.
